• A customer from Rottenburg constructed a "track in use detector" for his Märklin H0 train set. He mounted two Q-05-05-02-G magnets to the underside of his locomotive (86 582 Märklin)...
• ...He attached this reed relay to the underside of a rail with the help of a hot glue gun. When the locomotive drives over the rail, the reed relay is activated and creates an impulse.
  The magnetic field was too weak when only one magnet was used, but the signal could be consistently evaluated when two magnets were laid on top of each other.
