Which magnets can I use to hang up swings and hammocks?
When you attach a heavy and moving object to a steel beam or something similar, you run the risk of the hook levering out and falling off due to the swinging. This can lead to serious injuries, either from the fall itself or when the magnet falls on a person.
And you can never rule out material fatigue - the magnet of a pot magnet with hook could break away from the steel pot and cause injuries (see relevant safety tip).
Therefore, magnets are not suitable at all for such applications. We recommend a sturdy hanging solution with screws, ropes, etc.
