Light installation / Student paper 2016

Concept

With the help of a light source an a very slowly rotating mirror surface, this student paper in the specialisation area of design at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle (Saale) visualises a light cycle on a predetermined radial projection surface.

Use of magnets

In order to create a projection surface for a light cycle, a parchment paper strip is attached to a metal ring (3 m radius), so the paper and not the mounting comes to the fore.
Small neodymium block magnets (product number Q-05-05-01-HN) are used to attach the parchment paper to the metal ring.
The magnets are placed at regular intervals on the inside of the metal ring.
